yup it is pretty sensitive on am now
after i found the poor solder joint in the rf osc it works really well, any given night i can pick up WLS,WBBM and WCBS and WLW just by using the loop antenna. I live about 40 miles west of Nashville TN. I'm wondering if this radio might be a stepping stone in the history of the GE superadio series, it has the musaphonic and long range badge on it.
