"Shading" is nealry always caused by horizontal getting into the video, from a bad capacitor in the video bias supply for the drivers for the CRT cathodes. Usually--there is a capacitor off of the flyback, 10/250 or so. On your set--it MAY be higher, or not--and may be on the chassis, near the horizontal section, or possibly the power supply area. It MAY be on the CRT board, but likely not.
IF you see an electrolytic cap of 200 or more volts on the CRT board--this is likely the one. If not--hunt for it on the chassis. BE AWARE--that even if you DO find one on the CRT board--there MAY STILL be one near the source--on the chassis.
