I was also there as a DVHRC member and there were a few sets but nothing jumped out. I did see a Farnsworth and a Capehart twin that changed hands. I heard about a Raytheon 7" but did not see it. Waves had a Philco 1000. There was an Olympic mirror-top! Never seen one. A twin of the Sparton version. Went for $10 at the auction. The cabinet was scruffy and the radio/phono door was missing the hinges. A seller had a pair of DVHS decks with a crate of studio releases in DVHS. $70 for all.

The show was well attended with a few sellers arriving Wednesday but no public. We moved the auction to Friday night because the Saturday auction was hurting the buyers. Table sellers were closing early for the auction which left few tables open later in the morning. The move to Friday night seemed successful with many more bidders than Saturday. One of our main themes is to get the public in to expand the hobby. Our famous BIN table was busy for both Friday and Saturday. Lots of strange stuff that people really took away...thanks to all who help us move this stuff. I picked up a Lafayette VOM NIB and a pristine vinyl version of Cheap Trick Buddakan...my hometown boys. Now to find the 15v battery for the VOM. The 1.5v battery powers most of the functions. It has a 12 amp scale that will help me diagnose a problem I have with a camera at my ballpark. The DVHRC is always fine-tuning our big show and hope you find all of it for the better.

The oddest thing I saw in the auction was a Zenith FM-only stereo 9-tube plastic table radio. The odd thing is that it is only one half a pair. It has a switch for L/Mono/R on the front. You need a pair of these to get stereo. One for L and the other for R. It even has a speaker phase reverse switch on the back. The buyer already had one so he is set with an 18 tube FM stereo. Now back to the tv stuff.

For those of you who read this down to here, I trash-picked a Moto gold bezel for a 7VT5R in good shape. I cleaned it and buffed a bit with Novus #2. First PM and post here to time stamp from a needy set owner that needs a good one gets it. Not for resale. Postage paid by the DVHRC.
