It is a 1R5, and when you are testing and restoring a Trans-Oceanic it is a good idea to use the IR5 while testing. I have a good supply of 1L6's and because the Universals will not have that much use I will leave them in place. In my tube type Trans-Oceanics I have changed out the 50A1 ballast tube with a solid state replacement which protects the 1L6 and gets the most performance out of it.
