IMHO most JVC's were very good sets. About the mid 90's
they started to use an over complex power supply with lots
of SMD's. For that & other reasons we stopped selling them
after 10 yrs.
All in all they were reliable & had the same common
problems all others had. Even the tube sets were good, I
dont remember ever lifting an iron to one. Just damper &
vert tubes, clean, adjust.............
