Frankly you could submerge your Predicta in water, and as long as you did not let it soak long enough for the wood to expand/crack or afterwards leave it in a cool humid environment where the water would not dry before rust and mold set in (which takes several hours to several days) there will be no damage....And even if you did leave it that long the damage would only be cosmetic. I have taken sets that most likely have sat outside for 10 years, and made them work again.

If you let the storage area get over 100 degrees Fahrenheit there is a possible risk to early plastic. I've left the AC off during summer vacation and returned to find plastic feet on table sets shattered.
