OOPS
The 4 lead cap works like this. 2 leads complete the collector ckt
for the Horz output & the other 2 complete the emitter ckt.
It is designed so if the actual cap opens one of the paths will open
thus killing the HV.
The origional ones were white & made by American Radionics.
They did not work as designed. When the cap opened the HV
would skyrocket & often destroy the set including the CRT
sometimes. There was a huge recall, they paid us $4.50 per
cap & a free cap for years out of warranty when we found them.
That was into the late 80's at least. In warranty was free & if
you had a destroyed set it got fixed no mater how many parts
were needed.
