Just slightly wrong! Look up the Spiegel listing at nostalgia air. It shows a model P battery eliminator. The electrolytic capacitors for the 1.4 volt source are listed as 3000mfd @ 6volts or so. What's great about this is the caps are cheap as dirt. As a bonus, the filament supply has a filter choke.
The B+ circuit has 40mfd @ 150 volt caps.
I had one, similar to this and was branded "Perma Power". It used a selenium rectifier and was newer. Otherwise, same thing.
