I just looked at my CTC-11C chassis and I don't see what you're referring to. The audio board has three tubes. I don't see any odd socket-like things near the 6AQ5.

Yes, identified as M9 in the Sams manual. It does not use a socket. The pins are hard-wired to the oscillator circuit. It is not near the audio board.

By the way, I wouldn't assume that every flyback needs recoating. I would inspect it carefully and see how it behaves when the rest of the TV is restored.
