Here is the inside of my radio, not unlike a Zenith, speaker-wise.

The inside of the wedge model has two full-range speakers and I have seen a speaker-only unit in the same size cabinet at a local vintage emporium. That must be for the later table FM stereo model.

I decided to just put it together and send it back once I heard the owner listens to a local AM station, an old fashioned station with a full-time news room and local programming.
