Progress! I remembered today I had bought a box full of flybacks and misc transformers for TV repair a while back so dug it out and found a Stancor A-8140 which shows as having a 44:1 turns ratio, close to 50:1. I installed it and other than it doesn't fit real well it works perfectly with my 5" test CRT.
So I figured I got it licked now so installed the 10BP4 and gave it a try and can't seem to get much of a picture. With the brightness all the way up and fiddling with the ion trap I can just barely get a fuzzy image in a darkened room. All the voltages seem to be ok but no watchable picture. The test CRT worked perfectly so I thought maybe the 10BP4 was bad, I tested it and it sure isn't that great but should work. I happen to have an NOS 10BP4 so I gave it a try and it works no better so it has to be a setup or set problem. Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks

Gregb
