Traditionally, smaller was more important in the hobby. 20, 25 years ago, about the only sets getting any respect were 10" or smaller b/w & 15" color. The hobby has come a long way in recent years, though.
Personally, I have a few 23v color sets and that's about as big as I want to go. At some point a collection gets big enough that you have to make choices. "Would I rather use this space to house one big color combo from the 70s, or should I fill it with a pair of 21" roundies?"
