Yes .My bulb looked new and no discoloring.I took a chance on resetting the bulb timer and it worked.Thats probably why the previous owner curbed it because of the inflated bulb price or sending it to the repair shop in town.I'm still puzzled why the timer ran out and the bulb looks good.I'm thinking the same as you said about the last owner did not know how to reset the timer if he/she replaced their own bulb.Its a shame for them if they spent $350 bucks on the bulb and did not work and curbed it.

I haven't researched much on regular bulb to LED conversions.Probably expensive. There must be some mods out there for converting these older projectors to use LED bulbs.
