Well per merrylanders suggestion, I went to my local mega hobby shop and got a 20yd spool of waxed nylon bead string for $1.40. Just a tad skinnyer than the orig. but is very tough and should do the trick quite nicely. Even if I got to double it, but don't think I'll need to.
