The newer Sony has AKB ( automatic kine bias ) that adjusts itself.

On the Zenith do this.
Turn OFF the chromatic or color sentry if it has one.
Turn color down all the way.
Contrast or picture control to mid way.
Let warm up 1/2 hr.
Turn up the R & B a little to make the pix as B&W as you can.
The tube is aging so it may not be perfect.......
Return customer controls to normal & watch.
