Sounds like typical GM. But, they WERE selling roughly 50% of the cars in America at the time. they didn't need to be "Nice" to anybody. I doubt if Ford "Lost" any sales of any of THEIR"Performance/Sports" cars for all the cars/motors THEY sold to Shelby. Likely, their"Performance/sports" segment group benefitted from it. Let's face it, the Shelby buyer & a Mustang customer were 2 very different breeds of cat.
