Well, think of it this way...The Royal Soverign, if it wasn't Dumont's most expensive product, must have been high up in the running, was sold to hotels and public places (many of which were probably quite highbrow) that probably ran them constantly.
Those sets were probably more of a public representation/advertisement of Dumont than any billboard could ever aspire to be...Looking at it that way I can see why Dumont would want them to live long healthy lives...
