Smart TVs getting bricked by failed Android updates are common.

Unfortunately, Sony mainboards are crap and this may be a hardware issue. Note that if you buy a new board from Sony, it comes *without* software and will need to be loaded before the board works. An ebay board will work without software as long as the seller is being honest about the condition of the board.

Here's what you can *try*: go to Sony's website and search on the model. Click on downloads and download the firmware for the TV and extract it to a FAT32 USB flash drive.

With the TV unplugged, install the flash drive and plug the TV in. Depending on how stuffed the software is, the TV may load new software and come back to life. If nothing happens after plug-in, push the power button.

If the software is loading, the amber light will blink. Do not unplug the TV during upgrade. It may take an hour or more for the software to load..

If that doesn't work, a long long long shot is to load the firmware on *two* separate USB drives and install one in each USB port. Plug in and pray to the binary Gods.

Good luck.

John
