That's not to say, that it won't benefit from more work, like a tuner rebuild, but since I never did such a thing, if I were to try, it would most likely never work after if I did.

half of the 1500 pf caps in the IF section are still original, ( same caps are used in tuner ), and all the 270 pf coupling capacitors are still original, some people said to replace, others said only to replace if they were giving problems, I did buy all new ones, but opted not to put them in, cause I did not want to face a total end to end IF alignment.
Granted, its not working at optimal condition tuning wise, but for its age, it is working very well and usable!
