Is there waveforms provided with that schematic? I see something on there marked point V, right out of the video det, before the video amp, and if it is anything like most sets I have seen, and the video signal there is about 1.1v ptp, one could try coupling in an external monitor, and see if the video is clean there.
I did this on my FADA.
It will rule out any problems there and before that point.
