Since the top and bottom of the screen are NOT being illuminated, how in the Hell could the phosphors there be burned? If anything, it would be the middle area of the screen which IS being illuminated that would see degradation of the phosphors that the top & bottom wouldn't, but not at the doom & gloom rate that your trying to convey here
