I'm curious, Zeno -- what was it about the CTC-19 RCA TVs that made them go through 6GH8 tubes so quickly? RCA, after all, was a pioneer in electronic television. I cannot believe they would even consider designing a TV, or any television they made in the '80s onward, for that matter, which would push tubes to their limits, and often beyond. Something must have happened to or with RCA in the last few years to cause their design team to cut corners like this.
