I told him, "yeah, and in less than a year, it will go belly up." Well, I had to eat my words because it lasted until about 2012, or so, when it lost vertical sweep. At that time, they were ready for a flat screen and gave me the Apex. All that was wrong was bad solder connections on the vertical output IC and I think I got $25 for it. That was right about the time when CRT sets started becoming worthless to the average person and I was lucky to have been able to sell it.
My great grandma had an Apex tv I think it was 32" big and she got it around 2004. The tv was used until she passed on. The TV was thourn out do to the CRT being very weak in 2018. I saved the her old 79 zenith 9" B/W tv which still works fine and a 9" sears tv from 1968 I need to find a tube for the set.
