My one RCA shows the 6E5 as an ST envelope tube. I don’t think such a beast ever existed. Though it looked clearanced for it.

There's glass 6H6GT's and also a 6H6G, a larger shouldered bulb. I always referred to them as "bulby type.
The Zenith backlite set, I saw had a 12SA7G instead of a 12A8G. It must've been a later production.
It could be possible that ZRC was planning a war materials design, as war was definately on the horizon.
