I agree with Dave the eBay seller you were looking at was dreaming on price. One thing I like to do is stock modern 5KV 200mA and 2KV 2A diodes. The 5KV can sub for color TV focus rectifiers (I usually put 2 in series for better PIV headroom), and 2-5 in series can sub for most HV rectifier applications in a pinch...And sometimes permanent on rare sets with hot running flybacks since removing heater load from the fly should help cool it.
The 2A parts might work for a damper tube if the right series parallel combo to match PIV and current requirements was reached.
