No, that won't do anything. Please answer my questions. I'm trying to help and the more info you can provide the better.
The electron beam comes straight down the center. The only think moving it around is magnetic fields.
It looks like your horizontal linearity is off. Is that correct? Is the image more compressed n the left than the right? If so, you need to fix that before you worry about centering.
Linearity is affected by the damper tube, horizontal output tube, horizontal drive and the linearity coil.
The left side is controlled mostly by the damper circuit and the right by horizontal output circuit.
Once you get that sorted out, you center the image by adjusting the screws on the focus coil.
