Do you hear a relay "click" when the power button is pushed ? If no click, the problem may be in the remote power supply, it's completely independent from the TV power supply and has it's own power transformer. If a click is heard, check for an open fuse resistor (R502) and a shorted horizontal output transistor usually caused by a defective flyback transformer.
