Motorola VT-71 Blonde Cabinet Restoration

I have restored a Mahogany cabinet VT-71 several years ago. It went well and produced a very nice picture. I still have it. In the meantime, I have acquired four more VT-71 sets and one is with the Blonde cabinet. I don't particularly like Blonde furniture but it is more scarce so it get a nod.

It had a severely deteriorated CRT rubber mask, which I should have photographed before I began. I was able to chip it away enough to get the weak CRT out. I used the plastic front from another set on the cabinet since the oozing rubber had compromised the plastic mask.

Later today, I will start posting some pictures. For the next few weeks, I am restricted to what I can lift (cataract surgery) so my RCA CTC-28A set restoration has moved to the back burner. I am not allowed to lift over 25 pounds for a few weeks.
