My T-933 still has it's original flyback. The first thing I did when I got it was check and adjust the HOT current. It went from 225 mils to 190 after adjusting it. Years ago the owner of the shop where I worked insisted on RCA and Magnavox being checked for HOT current and adjusting them. Those we did adjust rarely needed a flyback.
The worst flyback that I remember were the Admirals.
