I have a question, and this kind of is a wide ranging question in that it is covering multiple types of electronics in this case laptops as well because they do use LCD Panels for their displays, so they are kind of in topic here.

Why is it that on eBay all of the parts that one might need to order to get say an old flat panel TV going or an old laptop going like a motherboard or a Y-Sustain board for a plasma TV are always coming from China? It seems kind of odd that China is the only place that can sell usable parts/boards for things like Laptops or Flatpanel TVs that have been salvaged from working devices that had some sort of defect like a broken screen or a broken case that otherwise was a working TV or laptop.

I'm having a hard time finding on eBay any parts for stuff like flat panel TVs or Laptops to get them going again that isn't coming from China.

Does anyone know why this is the case? Is it because they're a lot rougher with their laptops and flat panel TVs in China than we are here in America? Or is it because they just know there's a demand for used TV and laptop parts here in America and that people are willing to buy the parts to get their stuff going and that people don't care that they come from China or is it a little bit of both?
