I guess I jumped the gun on this one. Seems with all the looking it over I did before posting, I completely missed on important thing. Seems the bottom of the circuit board I need access to has a cardboard piece slid into the bracket to cover the bottom of the board and prevent from shorts. I was able to remove that piece with little damage to it and now have full access to the underside. It'll take a little longer pinpointing the exact legs to desolder, but at least I don't have to separate the board from the bracket and other components.
