It was my clumsiness more than anything.

So an update on this, Damen hooked me up with another old TV guy who just happened to have the exact board I needed and everything fell into place... that is until I grazed a 120 volt line with the IF plug and killed the tuner! Really I can't catch a break here.

Magnavox has a small fuse holder on the side next to the little IF input jack on the chassis and I had to pull the cable to sweep the IF with the marker generator. The cable itself is tied in with the other wires coming down from the controls section and was far away from the fuses, somehow something got bumped, moved or whatever and the end of the little RCA plug grazed the 120 volt line fuse and nuked the tuner. A one in a million shot as I've been working on sets since the 1970's and have never had this happen before. Unfortunately the tuner was damaged beyond repair and now I'm on the hunt for another. Turrets in mine are still good so all I need is a "generic" Magnavox 340137, 340156 or similar turret with the AFC varactor.

Again my clumsiness.
