I would not try to "fight" to make that specific display work. Just buy the cheapest small LCD monitor or TV set you can find, that has (NTSC) composite-video in.

It runs on 12 volts and has a composite-video jack (or two of them?). If it is really 848x480, that is impressive in general for monitors this size, let alone for twenty-five bucks!
