If you don't like Letterbox from your DTV converter get s Zenith DTT-900 (or 901, or the LG or insignia rebadged versions of it)... Those boxes have a zoom button on the remote (also accessible through the menus) that lets you pick whether to down convert 16x9 to 4x3 cropped (pan and scan but with pan fixed in the center), 4x3 with letterbox, or 16x9 horizontally squeezed to fit.
