Hi to all,
Hi @old_tv_nut, @Paulo,
I live in France, so here is the situation on the French market :
Standalone DVB-T receivers are still sold to use older televisions with today's broadcast formats, current receivers all have inbuilt tuners.
Some DVB-T standalones only have an HDMI output but many still output analog signals, switchable between PAL/NTSC and RGB on a SCART connector.
Some models only have analogue composite on 3x RCA connectors (video + stereo audio).
For a standalone with only an HDMI output, use a HDMI to PAL dongle + an analogue RF modulator (System B/G for Portugal).
Some modulators have an HDMI input direct to RF UHF output.
Here is an example of a budget DVB-T receiver with HDMI & SCART outputs :

Higher priced DVB-T receivers may include 2 tuners (watch one channel, record the other), facilities to record to a USB "Thumb Drive", and some have an inbuilt hard disk or SSD for mass storage or connection to an outboard storage device.
*caveat : depending on brand, some record in proprietary formats, others use standards such as MPEG4, H265,... useful for future editing/backup to a PC.
Hope this helps
Best Regards
