A while back on ebay I saw what appeared to be a
Meissner 10-1153 television set. It was listed as a "Mahogany Oscilloscope" made by the
Jefferson Electric Co. I Intended to bid on it, but forgot. Anyway someone bought it for 5 bucks.
Jefferson Electric made transformers, and I suppose the guy could have read the name off a transformer or something. On the other hand, Meissner was joined at the hip with Thordarson, and it seems likely to me that a Meissner product would have Thordarson transformers.
Meissner sold the cabinets separately, so I suppose someone could have built almost anything in the cabinet.
So heres the question, did an AK'er buy it? What was inside, a Meissner television set or a Jefferson Electric oscilloscope?
