This is always a problem for me. If I see something I would like to get I have to get rid of something due to space, or lack there of. Problem is there arent that many folks looking for a vintage TV. If there is someone I wouldnt know where to find them. Right now I know where there is a 1947 RCA roundie console that has my name written all over it. A bit over priced at $75 (but will take $50) but I have an 8T-243 with a good crt and the same chassis. I should be able to get something working between the two, but I hate to sacrifice one for another. I mean butchering one to fix another. I have to move the following before I can sink my soldering iron in the neat RCA.

I have a late 50's Airline 21" console in original but non working condition. The set is in very decent shape and I wish to give it to a good home. I also have a 1958 Zenith Space Command with I believe a 24" crt that drove me nuts last winter trying to recap and get rid of the symptoms of hum for sound with no signal and no vertical sweep. Thats the way I bought the set and after replacing nearly every capacitor and all bad resistors I wound up with the same exact problems. I put it aside out of agravation. I had high hopes for this beautiful set that looks as if it was hardly used, if at all. All tubes were period stock and the chassis and crt were very clean. No black sut on the crt and inside the HV cage. I wondered if maybe the thing had a factory defect and has always been set aside. I guess it needs a good home as well. Someone with more technical knowlege than I could fix what is likely ONE single short and have a set that will last a lifetime with little trouble. Sorry but I really cant GIVE this one away as I have sank a little in the caps and resistors. Plus the Space Commands are kind of special being early examples of remote control sets. I could break even at $50 if anyone is interested. Come get both! If anyone has a 21ZP4B CRT in good shape we can swap.

Sorry for being long, thanks for reading.....
