The set is yours Carmine, Rob I washed the set off with a slightly diluted cleaner/degreaser then wiped on the stain/sealer especially heavy at the scratches then wiped off the excess, You know, Like the movie, Wax on wax off...
The steel wool gets off any rubbed on paint and levels the damaged areas somewhat prior to the stain treatment.
A couple of days and the finish dries hard to a satin look. I hate to refinish those sets if not necessary, Trying to keep them as original as possible in all ways.
