It was the challenge. I love building kits. That and the fact that "Oh yeah, I'll be able to find the manual" went through my head. Plus it's small and it's the cheapest one I could find for being that small.
There is missing parts, the RF modulator for one. And since everything is really discrete, it's a lot to reverse engineer the circuit. The silkscreen does not have part numbers or values either.
