Jim,
I can sympathize with you on that rubber wire. I did a small Zenith radio/phono that took 8 hours to replace all the rubber wire, all I had to do was look at the stuff and it fell off the wire. I restored a RCA D22 that also had all rubber wire, 3 chassis and about 8 wire harnesses all had to be re-made. I ended up with 40 hours in it. Now I cringe when a Zenith or RCA comes in for repair.
The 246 looks great. It's to bad the tables aren't easy to find.
