What wa2ise said is good advice.
Probably nothing to worry about, guy might be elderly, eccentric, or just plain strange. (Most TV collectors seem to fall into those last two categories!)
Some E-mail services have an auto response, just to let you know they got your message.
Listing an old TV would be an odd way to set someone up for a robbery, most TV collectors are also broke!
