update: The new problem seems to be somewhere around the 3rd if tube (6CB6) , the voltage readings on the schematic check out until that point. One end of the coil following it hooks to the cathode, the other to one of the grids, the grid side of the coil reads the correct 110v, but the cathode side reads 0v when the TV is hooked to the VCR, but the correct 110v with an antenna or nothing at all. The voltage readings at the 1st and 2nd IF tubes (also 6CB6) are unaffected. I tried replacing the tube, even though the original tested good, but it made no difference. I also checked the resistance of that coil to make sure it wasn't broken somewhere, it wasn't.
