I used to service several Micromatics a week back in the 70's when I worked for a Magnavox dealer. 99% of the problems can be traced back to the grease in the pivot points getting hard. Take them apart clean out the old grease and relube with a light grease and you're set. Make sure you get the washer/bearing stack that the turntable rides on back in the proper sequence, don't put any of the washers with the bumps next to the ball bearing, from the bottom up the sequence is washer with bumps, smooth washer, bearings, smooth washer, fiber washer, then turntable.
