What sort of light is used for the Halolight?
We have a new Philips LCD TV with backlights. Little lights on each side of the back shine onto the wall. You can set the color temperature of the lights, or let them vary in color/brightness as the program content changes (which I find too distracting).
Having some ambient light does make the TV more watchable in a dark room. I wonder why more TVs haven't provided this in some fashion.
