On a side note, though... Every time I'm in San Fran there seems to be no problem smoking about anywhere. The social establishments I've frequented simply specify (after about 10 pm) that there be no ashtrays. Put yer butt in a bottle. If they don't enable, it ain't their fault! (so the thinking goes...)
Strangely enough I haven't experienced this in LA.
p.s. I'm glad I won't be around when you hit that chassis with air!
