Ok, now my front room is so full of sets I can't even get out the front door.

13 sets in all:

8 sets restoreable:

#1 the RCA 630TS -- chassis complete, but missing the front glass, clips, cabinet top, HV cage cover, knobs, and crt.

#2 Motorola, bakelite 17" rectangular, complete with chassis, crt, knobs, cabinet in good condition, glass is good, missing back

#3 Tele-Tone, bakelite 14" rectangular, has chassis, crt, nice cabinet, glass is good, no knobs, missing back, and HV cage, the base was removed from the crt, and some of the wires are broken off only about a 1/4" from where they exit the glass

#4 GE, wood 10" round, has chassis, crt, knobs, cabinet needs work, but salvagable, front glass cracked

#5 Halicrafters, wood 12" round, has chassis, crt, no knobs, cabinet needs serious work, the top board needs to be replaced, but the glass is good, it's missing the back, and the HV cage cover

#6 RCA T-100, metal 10" round, has chassis, crt, no knobs, cabinet itself is ok, but it's missing the cloth and the glass is cracked, missing back, and HV cage cover

#7 Motorola, wood, 8" round, electrostatic, has chassis, crt, cabinet is very poor, hole on right side, but at least the glass is good, missing all knobs but tuner, missing back

#8 Zenith, metal 19" rectangular (early 60s), has chassis, crt, knobs, cabinet is good

5 parts sets:

#9 Emerson 7" electrostatic, complete chassis and crt, but no cabinet, if the crt is good it will find a home in one of my Motorola ts-4j's

#10 RCA - 730 chassis only, complete chassis, no cabinet or crt

#11 Halicrafters 10" round, chassis and crt only, no cabinet, this is an old one, it has channel 1 on a pushbutton tuner, but it is really far gone, if the crt tests stronger than my spare 10BP4, it will go in the 630

#12 Motorola bakelite 14" rectangular, cabinet only - I don't know what I'm going to do with this

#13 Motorola, wood, 8" round, electrostatic, cabinet only, with good glass, but missing bottom, in poor condition but better than the other one, will probably use it to repair the other 8" Motorola cabinet, or take the bottom out of the other one and put it in this one along with the rest of the set, or some such thing

These are really interesting sets. This is enough to keep me busy for at least a year, probably more.

prewtv,
Do you still want that 730 chassis?, I don't need it.

The Zenith still works , the fine tuning control is strangely ineffective though, but it's tuning the channels in right on anyway.
