What brand of replacment CRT, I wonder? I also wonder, did these sets have Admiral-made CRTs originally? Don't know when Admiral got into the color CRT business. I know in the late 60s their CRT reputation was crap. Order of quality highest to lowest in late 60's (when CRTs had gone rectangular) was something like:
RCA/Rauland(Zenith) --->Motorola----------->Admiral. I recall Moto struck a deal to buy some CRTs from Admiral and there were grumblings that they'd be eating a lot of warranty costs.
