Maybe we should all pitch in and buy a steel pole building out in the Mojave and collect all these 50-buck treasures and archive them. Call it the AudioKarma West Regional TV Preservation Center. Put one in Chicago and one in New Jersey (midwest region and eastern region).
My best friend's older brother's best friend bought a 1952 Mickey Mantle baseball card for 50 cents in the late '70s. People thought he was crazy, but he wanted one. Last I heard he was offered 35,000 dollars for it. At some point in the future, we'll all gaze back at the plethora of 50-buck TV sets ("way" back in 2006) and shake our heads in amazement that nobody snatched them up.
