i have a ge superradio III also and used it for dxing the am band which they seem to do amazingly well for a portable.alot of people say the older II's are suppose to be better than the III's but iv'e never had one to try.there's even some mods that people do to the III that's suppose to make them even better .if you handy with a soldering iron heres a link to some mods that can be done to the radio.
