It is pretty badly melted. My girlfriend was given the set. I would have recapped it first. But she just turned it on.

It had sound and picture with 3" wide black bands at the top and bottom of screen. But just as I arrived, it started smoking and the picture collapsed to all black. Haven't plugged it in since.

The number printed on the back cover is 54-6765-2
On the chassis is stmped 3L60. There's a bunch of other very long numbers but they seem like component numbers.
